Pack your bags and head to the city that never sleeps! New York City is the perfect location to shop, try new restaurants, explore the boroughs, stroll the streets, and more. Remember to bring your favorite walking shoes for sightseeing.
When traveling to a new city, I always make a list of restaurants to try. Below are my favorite New York City restaurant recommendations.
Bergdorf Goodman - located on the seventh floor of its Fifth Avenue store, is the perfect spot for lunch, tea, or cocktails! Bergdorf Goodman is beautifully designed with a classy and luxurious aesthetic. Remember to make a reservation in advance. If you are dining with two people, request the ballon chairs upon arrival!
Cafe Serafina - is a fun, upbeat, and popular location for a quick lunch. This precious cafe serves breakfast and fresh pastries all day as well as sandwiches, paninis, salad, pasta, pizza, and more! I highly recommend the Beet Salad and Margherita pizza.
Fleming by Le Bilboquet - situated on the Upper East Side, is a fabulous upscale restaurant for dinner. Fleming by Le Bilboquet has delicious cocktails and food. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. During the warmer months, I highly recommend sitting outside.
Jams NYC - located inside The 1 Hotel Central Park, is a fun and upbeat brunch location with scrumptious food. The restaurant is decorated with lots of plants and large windows, creating the ambience of dining in a greenhouse. I recommend their avocado toast. Due to the restaurant's popularity, make reservations in advance.
Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges - is a fabulous and cozy dinner spot on the Upper East Side. I highly recommend the Mark Restaurant for dinner as both the cocktail and food menu is absolutely delicious. I order the arugula salad with shaved brussels sprouts and avocado accompanied by a pizza. To pair with dinner, I like the espresso martini.
Sarabeth's - located on Central Park Avenue South has a phenomenal view of Central Park. When sitting outside, observe the hustle of the city, people strolling, reading, and walking their dogs in Central Park. I recommend the Sarabeth's chopped salad with avocado or power bowl with the Splash of Spice signature cocktail.
Sant Ambroeus - which has numerous locations in New York City, is a great place for a coffee and pastry, lunch, dinner, and/or cocktails! Each one has an uplifting, fun atmosphere. I recommend the Sant Ambroeus location on Madison Avenue as they have gelato. You can't go to Sant Ambroeus without indulging in a sweet treat!
The Palm Court at The Plaza Hotel - is a beautiful and intricately designed restaurant. I highly recommend cocktails and dinner at The Palm Court for a girls night, mother-daughter evening or romantic date night! I also recommend Afternoon Tea at The Palm Court.
Broadway - Spend the day or night at the theatre. Relax and unwind as you watch the talented artists perform. There is nothing better than live theatre!
Central Park - Explore all that Central Park has to offer from the walking trails, zoo, ice skating rink to having a picnic, reading locations, biking, and so much more!
Shopping - When in New York City, walk the streets and you are certain to find great shopping! I enjoy shopping on Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art - Tour "The Met" to discover the exhibits, artwork, beautiful sculptures, and frequently changing exhibitions! Before you leave, take a photo on the iconic Met steps.
The Rickey Cocktail Lounge - is a fun happy hour location. The cocktail lounge is a dim-lit speakeasy environment with multiple seating arrangements and fun artwork, wallpaper, mirrors, and candles that transport you to another time. The staff is very friendly and will help you pick out the perfect drink or curate your own!
Enjoy your New York City Travel Guide. Have a great trip!

Katy
